Adam Brown, Marketing Consultant

As a previous Director of Marketing and Communications at Durham University, Adam has agency and client-side experience in the strategic leadership of marketing and communications.

Adam loves nothing more than driving forward meaningful change – for organisations and individuals and managed Durham’s migration from a 6 strong, operational team to an integrated, strategic, full-service, marcomms function of 45+. He also recently oversaw the development of Durham’s new brand positioning and associated brand architecture, culture change and values alignment strategy.

Adam is a strong collaborator and expert at internal and external stakeholder engagement and management. He is equally strong at employee communications, staff and student recruitment, crisis and major incident management and reviewing and optimising operating models.

Adam’s greatest skill is being able to quickly get to the heart of an opportunity or problem (the more complex and knottier the better) and develop tailored, long-term, sustainable solutions that achieve measurable results.
