Introduction:

City & County Healthcare Group (CCH) the UK’s largest provider of community-based home and social care services asked us to build a careers site that would:  

  • unite a siloed and disparate organisation
  • simplify the user experience
  • Put people at its heart.

The approach


A bit of background.

CCH are the UK’s largest provider of community-based home and social care services. Since 2009, they’ve steadily grown their business through acquisition and pride themselves on providing high-quality care that enables people with a wide variety of care needs to live independently at home.

Our Challenge


As part of our Employer Brand project, build a careers site to act as a consistent platform and career destination for the 30+ Operating Companies that form part of their Group. Previously, each operating company had had their own individual careers site. This new one would celebrate the values, purpose and motivation they all share as part of CCH. 

It also needed to:

  • have clear and intuitive navigation
  • clearly communicate the reality of a career with CCH
  • make job search and application simple
  • streamline the application process
  • enable candidates to deselect themselves.

The outcome


We built a careers site with people at its heart.

Leading with a newly created video for the homepage which shows the reality of life at CCH, how people make an extraordinary difference to their clients’ lives every day and all the reasons that make a career here so special. This was supported by a suite of bespoke photography ‘heroing’ the Extraordinary, everyday people at CCH throughout the site.

We focussed on the user experience.

We used multiple ATS API’s to create the illusion that applications are completed on one site. We enabled job searches by postcode, distance and keyword. Positioned highly visible ‘Apply’ buttons throughout. And built-in candidate screening questions to create a ‘filter’ at application stage.

 

The new careers site united a multi-branded organisation.

It now houses all of the 30+ Operating Company’s brands. And has helped to raise the profile of CCH and achieve real Employer Brand consistency and stand out in a very competitive market.
