Syndicated research

Discover, and prepare for, the biggest trending topics in HE

What is syndicated research, and why is it important?

Our syndicated research projects are a key part of our commitment to change HE organisations and the sector as a whole for the better. We regularly invite universities across the UK and around the world to take part in research projects where we dig into topics such as online distance learning, UG to PG progression and student media habits.

For participating universities, it’s an outstanding opportunity to shape and respond to the biggest trends in higher education. It benefits the wider sector too, because we share our top-level findings far and wide.

The benefits of syndicated research

  • A sharper proposition. Use the insight you gain to reposition your offer.
  • Support the sector. Participation means contributing to the knowledge of all.
  • The latest knowledge. Be at the forefront of the topics that matter.
  • Actionable insights on how to tailor your messaging and customer experience.

Our approach:

We run several syndicated research projects each year, each of which is developed differently. However, here are some key outcomes they all have in common.

A panel view

We work with a recognised panel provider to get a broad range of perspectives from the core audiences.

Broad participation

Our projects tend to feature at least 12 universities, to make sure we’re getting a diverse view on the topic we’re exploring.

An insight report

Participating universities get a detailed report with key findings and recommendations, as well as all the data from their students.

A marketing playbook

Created with your marketing team in mind, this will include a messaging framework and key proof points to include in your communications.

A webinar briefing

This is where we present our research, along with a Q&A discussion and a look at the implications of our findings.

An optional workshop

This is an institution-specific workshop where we work with you to translate the insight into things like proposition and campaign development, website improvements and customer journey planning.
